Privacy policy.
This policy explains what personal information Geocel Industries and Geocel Marketing collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have kept it specific to how this site actually works rather than filling it with generalities.
Still to add. The constitution of each entity and its registration numbers (CIN or firm registration, and GST) should be inserted in section 1, and a named grievance officer in section 12, before this page is relied on as a published legal notice.
1. Who we are
This website is published by two separate businesses: Geocel Industries, which supplies PET packaging, and Geocel Marketing, which supplies non-woven and technical textiles. They are independent of one another and neither acts on the other’s behalf. In this policy “we” and “us” mean whichever of the two your enquiry concerns. Both operate from Avoly P.O., Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam, Kerala 686670, India.
Your enquiry is handled by the entity you select on the contact form, and that entity is the data fiduciary responsible for it. If your enquiry spans both, each handles the part that concerns it.
For anything in this policy, write to info@geocelindia.com (Industries) or info@geocel.in (Marketing).
2. What we collect
We collect personal information in only one place on this site — the enquiry form on our contact page. When you submit it, you provide:
- your name and the company you represent;
- your work email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it;
- the division your enquiry concerns; and
- whatever you write in the message field.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card details, government identification numbers or any sensitive personal data through this website.
3. Why we use it
We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry, to prepare quotations, to supply goods you order, and to keep the commercial and accounting records that Indian law requires us to keep. We do not use your details to build a marketing profile, and we do not send unsolicited marketing.
4. Cookies, analytics and browser storage
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not know who you are unless you tell us.
The site stores a single value in your browser’s session storage, named g3-intro, so the opening animation plays once per visit rather than on every page. It holds no personal information, is never sent to us, and is cleared when you close the tab.
5. Third parties that see your request
Loading any website means your browser contacts the servers hosting it and its assets, and those servers necessarily receive your IP address and basic technical information. For this site they are:
- Google Firebase Hosting — serves the site and keeps standard server request logs.
- Fontshare (Indian Type Foundry) — serves the typefaces.
- Cloudflare cdnjs and jsDelivr — serve the animation libraries.
- Unsplash — serves some photographs.
These providers act under their own privacy policies. We do not share your enquiry details with any of them.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only where that is necessary to answer you or fulfil your order — for example with the relevant division, or with a supplier or transporter handling your consignment — and where we are required to disclose it by law or to a competent authority.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to business are kept only while the conversation is live, and are then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes an order, the associated records are retained for the period required under applicable tax, company and commercial law.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to us at the addresses in section 1 and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may escalate to our grievance contact below, and thereafter to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable organisational safeguards to the enquiry details we receive. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
12. Grievance contact
Questions, requests and complaints about personal data should be sent to info@geocelindia.com, or by post to the relevant entity — Geocel Industries or Geocel Marketing — at Avoly P.O., Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam, Kerala 686670.
A named grievance officer for each entity, and a stated response window, should be added here to fully meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
